We’ve delivered IT support for accountancy firm Greenaway for over 10 years
It is one of a number of businesses we provide IT support to in Sevenoaks, with Akita’s Kent HQ less than 20 minutes away from the town centre. Greenaway is one of around a dozen accountancy firms that Akita currently provides IT support for.
Akita’s IT support for Greenaway covers not only user requests, IT systems, hardware and software, but also the specific accountancy software that the firm uses. As users of IRIS software, Greenaway approached Akita for a solution for an affordable and dedicated server for their setup. The firm’s main concern was to ensure that data held in the IRIS system was backed-up securely and on a regular basis – ideally with as little fuss as possible.
The solution was to leverage Akita’s cloud infrastructure and provide Greenaway with a hosted server on which to host their IRIS software. This solution has provided a reliable and secure platform, and made IRIS accessible to all of Greenaway’s users via an internet connection, meaning they can access it regardless of their geographic location.
Cloud hosting within our infrastructure also means that Akita looks after the backup of the IRIS server. Our backup service runs automatically and we regularly test backups to ensure they are reliable. Our standard backup service includes 14 days of retention, meaning that even items that have been deleted within the last two weeks can be retrieved as necessary.
Along with our IT support and cloud services, we also provide Greenaway with a hosted email service. This solution removes the hassle of running a separate email server from Greenaway while providing them with a professional service that includes mail filtering to prevent spam and viruses. And as with all supported customers, Greenaway also benefits from our IT consultancy as part of our Technical Account Management strategy service.
