IT and Office 365 Support for London School
Collingham is an independent, co-educational GCSE and Sixth Form college, which was founded in 1975.
Akita were approached by Collingham College to provide fast telephone and business remote support to all staff, as well as an Office 365 migration. Working with over 50 companies in London, providing services including IT, server, network and Microsoft Office 365 support, we were only too happy to help meet their needs.
Akita successfully migrated Collingham College from an under-performing IT Support company over to our support model. Our proactive approach to maintenance and preventative measures helped to meet the needs of this busy college.
Since our involvement we have also been able to assist with other IT network improvements. This includes implementing an Office 365 email migration, segregating the LAN into Student and Staff subnets, and moving Collingham’s accounts package to Akita’s hosted environment.
As a result, system performance and reliability have been dramatically improved with all users noticing a significant uplift in speed. The migration has also eradicated the occurrence of system-wide downtime and has seen far greater reliability all round.
Akita is well placed to support educational institutions. Our IT solutions are setup to deal with large number of users, with restrictions available to separate access permissions between staff and pupils. Several of Akita’s engineers have previously specialised in providing IT support for the education sector. This includes up to 5 years of experience directly supporting schools and their specialist software and solutions. All of our onsite support staff are also fully DBS certified to comply with common school safeguarding policies.
