      Credence Background Screening

      Credence Background Screening is a long-established employment screening company based in Sevenoaks, Kent.

      Akita won the company’s IT support contract in 2019, which included the management of its wider IT infrastructure and the support of the company’s Azure environment.

      Akita is a Microsoft Gold and Tier 1 CSP partner and has strong in-house IT infrastructure expertise. Our Azure support covers Credence’s live and UAT Azure-hosted web servers. This includes upgrading and downgrading instance sizes as required to ensure a cost-effective cloud setup.

      We also undertake full patch management of the Azure web servers as part of our Proactive Support, ensuring that their systems are fully up-to-date and protected against the latest threats.

      As an ISO 27001-accredited company, Akita emphasises the importance of business continuity and security in the IT consultancy and wider services that we provide for all of our customers.

      As part of the Azure support service that we provide for Credence, we manage the transfer of the company’s internal server backups to Azure storage services to ensure an effective offsite backup solution is in place. This offers effective disaster recovery and business continuity for the company should the worst happen.

      Alongside Azure support, our consultants also dedicate time to ensuring the security of the Azure-hosted servers. This includes the management of access control rules to limit which users can access sensitive settings or areas, effectively safeguarding the environment. We also provide Credence with advice on wider IT security best practice, helping the company to maintain the highest levels of data security as part of the process.
