Safetell is a leading designer, manufacturer and installer of bespoke security products.
A global company Safetell now has a team of around 100 staff. Safetell came to Akita requiring IT support, with a view to developing more flexible IT systems.
Akita provides Safetell with both responsive and proactive IT support.
For responsive IT support, Safetell’s Dartford staff have unlimited access to Akita’s remote IT helpdesk. Any problems can be logged on the phone or via email. We work to guaranteed response times to ensure that Safetell’s staff get fast issue resolution. While nearly all issues can be solved remotely, Akita also provides Safetell a guaranteed response time for onsite support as well should it be needed.
For proactive IT support, Akita conducts monthly prescheduled general maintenance visits. On these visits, our engineers dedicate time to the maintenance and upkeep of Safetell’s IT systems. Time can also be spent scheduling and applying updates and security patches. This helps to prevent disruption and minimise business downtime. Alternatively, one of our IT consultants may use the day to strategise hardware upgrades, make system changes or plan for IT network growth.
We’ve also been able to provide a number of improvements to Safetell’s IT setup over the years. The most substantial has been the migration to a hosted desktop solution. This solution places staff’s desktops within a cloud environment, meaning that staff can access their desktop remotely and from any device.
The hosted desktop setup is scalable and removes the need for onsite servers. It has therefore facilitated Safetell’s growth while saving the company money on costs associated with in-house servers
Akita has now enjoyed a near-10 year IT support relationship with Safetell. During this time, Safetell has grown in staff number, and requirements across the business have developed.
