2017 has been a landmark year for Akita Systems as we celebrated our 20th birthday and got firmly settled into our new offices. Business has continued to grow and to help manage this the Akita team has welcomed six new faces to the engineering team, along with additions to the finance, sales, and marketing departments.
2018 promises to be another exciting year and we have a number of plans in place to further expand and enhance our service offerings. We will continue to grow and develop our engineering and helpdesk teams, with more recruitment planned and staff training mapped out for the next few months.
We are currently on the lookout for two eager apprentices to join the team! Our current apprentices, Luke and Jack, have already proven themselves to be tremendous additions to the engineering team and we are keen to invest in additional apprentices and provide them with the tools to build a successful career in the IT industry. Christmas opening hours
Our offices will be closed on the following dates over the Christmas period, although our helpdesk teams will be available 24/7 over the Christmas period for clients with support issues:
– Monday 25th & Tuesday 26th December: closed
– Wednesday 27th – Friday 29th December: open
– Monday 1st January: closed
– Tuesday 2nd January: open
A good year for our helpdesk teams
The provision of proactive IT support remains our core strength which underpins the other services we provide. Of course, we do not rest on our laurels and welcome feedback from clients to ensure that we continue to provide the highest levels of support.
Accordingly, we are pleased to announce that throughout 2017 we have been rated at a very positive 4.7/5.0 for the quality of service. Although this is clearly impressive feedback from the hundreds of reviews submitted, we will be looking to improve on this throughout 2018!
This promises to pose a number of challenges for SMEs as they adjust their procedures and react to the requirements of GDPR as they become clearer. You can learn more about GDPR here.

Our Microsoft Dynamics 365 product will be launched as a dedicated service from Q1 of 2018, demonstrating our commitment to developing this and establishing ourselves as a leading player in the CRM, ERP and business management software marketplace.
