Receptionist Wanted!

Having experienced recent rapid company growth, Akita Systems are now looking for a confident and outgoing individual to join the team on a permanent, full time basis in the capacity of Receptionist/Administrator, reporting directly into the Office Manager. The main purpose of the position is to work closely with our existing administration department and assist in supporting our IT team with all areas of reception/administration.

The role as Receptionist/Administrator is to help ensure the smooth running of the office. The role will be very varied but the primary role is answering the telephone and effectively directing the incoming calls.

The successful candidate will be required to provide comprehensive support to our administration team. The typical tasks may include, but are not limited to:

Primary responsibilities

  • Answering phones and logging support tickets – using Kayako system
  • Filing – setting up new/ existing contract files
  • Helping with raising of basic invoices – Service CEO
  • Arranging and taking in deliveries – logging onto order book
  • Manage the post
  • Greet visitors
  • Book cabs and couriers and travel requirements
  • Photocopying
  • Provide refreshments

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following attributes to be a successful Receptionist/Administrator:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in using a computer (especially Word, Excel and MS Office)

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • Detail oriented with an accurate attention to detail
  • Trustworthy, reliable and punctual

Job Title: Receptionist/Administrator

Salary Range: £13,000p.a to £15,000p.a depending on experience/qualifications/ skills set

Start Date: Immediately

Full Time: Permanent Contract of Employment

Hours: 8.45am to 17.15pm Monday to Friday

Holiday Entitlement: 32 days (including the 8 bank holidays)

Education Requirement: Educated to at least GCSE standard, including Maths and English

Place of Work: Unit 5, Chaucer Business Park, Kemsing, Kent TN15 6PL

Experience: Previous experience as a Receptionist/Administrator
